News broke last week that Hermes' upcoming spring collection would be the last for creative director Jean Paul Gaultier. This came as a shock to many, as Jean Paul has consistently delivered collection of critical and commercial success. Reports say that Jean Paul was not fired, he resigned, possibly to focus more on his namesake brand. Jean Paul has been the creative director at Hermes for six years, and raised the companies profits during the recession. Meanwhile, shots from the winter campaign were released, starring Raquel Zimmermann and Patrick Petit Jean, not to mention a terribly cute dog. Some might find it strange that Gaultier's aviation themed collection resulted in a winter wonderland of shots, set at the Ice Hotel in Sweden. After the jump are more photos from the campaign, my Obsession of the Day!
UPDATE: The following statement was just released from Hermes: “Jean-Paul Gaultier is not quitting any of his responsibilities.”
