Gucci Spring 2009

I'm totally in love with Gucci's Spring Ad Campaign. I actually have a shrine of them on one of my walls. Everytime I look at the pictures, I think of summer!! Not to mention, Natasha Poly, Lily Donaldson and Abbey Lee are featured in the ads! I have already bough knockoffs of the pants on the guys in the 5th and 7th pictures.

Easter Monday!

Happy Easter! It is so sad to see the long weekend end, but it sure was fun! Today, I worked out at the gym, and then met up with Emma and Berk to go shopping. We covered Queen West, Kensington, and Yorkville. I also brought my camera along! The weather was amazing, and I had a lot of fun!

Vogue: May 2009

May's issue of Vogue is the best I have seen in years! Insead of featuring an actress on the cover, Vogue finally put models on. The lucky models included Isabeli Fontana, Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova, Juordan Dunn, Lara Stone, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini, Anna J, and one of my personal favourites, Natasha Poly. Inside the cover, Vogue featured a tribute to legendary photographer Steven Meisel. Models from fashion's past and present including Lauren Hutton, Naomi Campbell, Linaa Evangelista, Karen Elson, Christy Turlington, Coco Rocha, Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen and Lily Donaldson were all featured this month! Bravo Anna, André, Grace, Sally, Hamish and the whole Vogue gang!

Lykke Li

Lykke Li is one of my favourite musical artists. I first herd her last September, and have loved her music ever since! Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson is her real name, and she originates from Sweden. I love her upbeat music, and the exotic instruments she uses. Below are "Im Good, I'm Gone" and "Little Bit", two of my favourite songs from Lykke Li.

Coco's Rules to Live By

Coco Rocha, perhaps my favourite model, recently let style.com follow her around back stage at Matthew Williamson. In this video, Coco lets us in on all of the model's secrets, well almost all of them. Coco is so funny!
P.S. Have you seen her Single Ladies video?

Painted Dresses

Although I hate Dolce & Gabbana, a few seasons back (Spring 2008, to be precise), Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana featured the most gorgeous hand painted dresses. My favourite dresses from the collection were the corset ballgowns. On top of that, some of my favourite models, including Caroline Trentini, Lily Donaldson and Natasha Poly got to strut in these gowns. This collection continues to be one of my favourite all time collections, and I am currently begging my friend to paint me a t-shirt like this. (photos from style.com)

Gucci by Gucci

The Gucci by Gucci perfume advertisement, directed by David Lynch is one of my favourite videos to watch. The advert features Raquel Zimmermann, Freja Beha, and Natasha Poly dancing to Blondie's "Heart of Glass". This video makes me wish I lived in the 70s, and the models look like their about to meet up with friends and hit Studio 54. Click to watch one minute of pure Gucci orgasm

The Sartorialist

For this blog, I am going to be writing about what inspires me.
The Sartorialist is Scott Schuman's blog. He photographs individuals he find on the street, who evoke style, all across the world. He also works for GQ and style.com at fashion shows, where he photographs models, buyers, editors, like Jessica Stam, Carine Roitfeld, Sarah Rutson and Lauren Santo-Domingo. Whenever I read his blog, I feel so inspired to develop a distinctive style of my own. Below are some of my favourite photos from The Sartorialist. (All the photos belong to The Sartorialist).
