Taylor Lautner Bites into Teen Vogue!

Read Article →
Taylor Lautner is proving to everyone that he shouldn't play second fiddle to Robert Pattinson; Teen Vogue is certainly helping his cause. Taylor is the cover boy of the upcoming October issue, much to the delight of teenage girls all across America. Taylor was shot by the iconic photographer Bruce Weber, whose photographs have changed many teen stars in to full-fledged celebrities (including Marky Mark for Calvin Klein!) Taylor also sat down for an interview with the magazine. See the interview and more pics from the shoot after the jump!

Taylor on the future:
"I really look up to Denzel Washington as an actor. I'd love to do a film with him one day in the future. That would be my dream come true. And I love the action-drama films like Matt Damon and Brad Pitt do."

Taylor on Team Jacob fans:
"I think fans would love anybody who played Jacob. I'm just lucky to be the one who got the chance."
Taylor on the paparazzi:
"You can't ever really get used to it, because it's not normal to have people snapping pictures of everything you do. You just have to try not to let it affect you."
Taylor on bulking up:
"Hitting the gym, hiring a personal trainer, eating the right foods, and eating a lot of them."
Taylor on acting:
"Taking on roles that were opposite of what I could be in real life? That's still my favorite thing."

Andrés Velencoso Segura & Ryan Thomas Man Up H&M!

Read Article →
If H&M was ever blamed for the metrosexualization and feminization of the general male population, it certainly wasn't a conscious choice on their behalf. First Tyson Ballou, a buff 37 year old model was shot for H&M earlier this month, and now two more over-30 Adonises are posing for the brand most commonly related to young lanky boys. Andrés Velencoso Segura (famous for shooting nude with Daria Werbowy and Jennifer Lopez) & Ryan Thomas are the stars of the latest pics, which I love. H&M always produces great advertisements, and these don’t disappoint. If it was ever complained that the last set of men’s pictures were too boring, these are the remedy. Andres and Ryan hit a variety of poses, some typical and some, well not so typical. Check out the entire campaign, My Obsession of the Day, after the jump!

Experience Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 in HD!

Read Article →
During Milan fashion week last February, Dolce & Gabbana sponsored opening of the Extreme Beauty in Vogue exhibition at the Palazzo della Ragione. During the same week, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana unveiled their fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection. Extreme and Beauty were obviously the themes running through the designers mind while designing their latest collection, Marilyn Monroe, Salvador Dali, and Elsa Schiaparelli being the inspirations. From a-list stars in the front row, to gloves used as hats on the model’s heads, the collection was very surreal. In tough economic times, it was surreal that Scarlett Johansson, Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts, Freida Pinto and Eva Mendes all sat front row, while most other designers chose not to host celebrities. It was surreal that while most designers played it safe, Dolce & Gabbana delivered one of their most un-wearable collections in recent history. From ballooning shoulders, to bubblegum pink gorilla sleeves, to a necklace of watches and Marilyn Monroe printed dresses, the collection is definitely an acquired type of beauty, Extreme. After the jump is the full runway collection in HD!

Gisele Bundchen Retouched for Vogue India: Before & After

Read Article →
It is a common fact that virtually every photo in fashion magazines is retouched, but we are always amazed when we see what models look like pre-airbrush. Gisele Bundchen  for September Vogue India is the latest star to have her pre-retouched photos leaked, and they weren't as bad as one might expect! Besides some red in the face, grandma-hands, and a not-as-smooth stomach and bikini line, she looks great! I love the Balmain jacket she is sporting, but why is she wearing a bikini for a fall issue? Does it get cold in India? Do you think airbrushing should be banned in magazines? See the un-retouched photo, and voice your opinion, after the jump!

Sasha Pivovarova, Ash Stymest & Rihanna for Vogue Italia

Read Article →
Usually, Vogue Italia is applauded for not selling out, and not putting celebrities on the cover of their magazines. The latter is true, for the September issue of the Italian fashion bible. The cover shot, photographed by Steven Meisel, featuring models Sasha Pivovarova and Ash Stymest has fashion insiders asking "Why?" Usually when models are featured on the cover, the results are incredible but no one is too sure why this shot was chosen as the cover. The cover caption "unexpected" sums up perfectly my response to the cover. It was unexpected that Ash, the new and relatively unheard of male model was featured on the cover. It was also unexpected that Sasha would look like a couture bag lady, or that the Vogue title would be multi-coloured. I am all for models on the covers of magazines, but I would have much prefered Rihanna on the cover. Steven Klein shot Rihanna in today's most extreme couture for a supplement cover inside, but I would much prefer it as the real cover. Which cover do you prefer? See Rihanna's cover, and post your response, after the jump!

Sasha and Freja: Live from New York!

While watching the fall runways, it was hard to ignore the amount of bright, loud, extreme and architectural clothing that stomped down the catwalks. What else is bright, loud, extreme and architectural, you ask? Times Square! Models Sasha Pivovarova and Freja Beha took to the crowded intersection for the latest issue of V, wearing attention grabbing looks from Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Nina Ricci, Balmain, Galliano, Givenchy and Balenciaga, among others. The photos shot from below by Mario Sorrenti are very origional, and these fierce outfits truly hold their own among the New York skyline! Chanel, Sessilee, Jourdan and Arlenis are P.Y.T.s for i-D

Read Article →
On the heels of last year's All Black Italian Vogue, i-D has dedicated a cover to the rising coloured stars of this generation! Top models Chanel Iman, Sessilee Lopez, Jourdan Dunn and Arlenis Sosa posed for the cover back in April, photographed by Emma Summerton. So far, i-D is so far the only magazine to feature a woman of colour on a September issue. My favourite part about the cover is that there was no hype leading up to it, and the cover makes no reference to the all black cast, just four models posing. We should not have to make a big deal when black models are featured on covers, it should be normal. The super cool cover and the nonchalant approach make this cover my Obsession of the Day! Bravo, i-D!

Today's Obsession of the Day, shot by Magnus Unnar was just what I needed to make it through a work day! See more photos from the shoot after the jump, and click to enlarge!
