When Karl Lagerfeld debut Chanel's Spring Summer 2010 collection in Paris last October, many were left thinking "What would Coco say?" The Grand Palais was transformed into a barnyard playground, including a Lily Allen performance, a threesome frolic in the hay, and get this, clogs! While most of us were amused with Chanel's fun show, the sophistication of the clothes were overpowered by silly antics. Now, with the release of the Spring 2010 ad campaign, do we get to truly appreciate the beauty and luxury of the clothes.
Karl flew three of his favourite models: Baptise Giabiconi, Freja Beha, and Claudia Schiffer to an old Argentinean neighbourhood in the heart of Buenos Aires. The breathtaking shots showcase the beautiful clothes, particularly the Chanel signature suits and Little Black Dresses in tweed and lace, decked in pearls. The ad campaign has single handedly changed my liking of the collection, morphing the clothes from a barnyard playground to a sophisticated fiesta. See the entire campaign, after the jump!
