The Fall 2010 season has been full of new directions, but Versace has by far made the most drastic and unexpected departure from seasons past. With inspiration from "Tron" and "The Matrix", the realm of pale skin and black leather is new territory for Donatella Versace, who typically designs light linen suits and skimpy swimwear for a tanned male Adonis. Donatella treads into the waters of Gareth Pugh and Rick Owens with tight black leather motorcycle jackets with silver studs, chain mail shirts, and knee-high strappy boots. Although the collection alienates the typical Versace customer, and veered a little repetitive, with close inspection a wearable suit of trouser could be salvaged for the traditional customer. Without surprise however, most pieces in this collection are geared toward men who don't usually shop at Versace. See some of my favourite looks from the collection, after the jump!
